I understand organisations from the inside.
I've spent more than three decades in senior leadership across the private and public sectors, running businesses, serving on boards and leading complex transformation.
My career has included BHP, Telstra, O2, Vodafone, BT, Sky, British Gas, Direct Line Group, Ipsos MORI and Innovate UK.
Most recently, I was Chief Product Officer at Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), as well as Executive Chair of Innovate UK Business Connect and an Executive Director of Innovate UK Loans.
Across very different sectors, much of my work has had the same challenge at its heart: understanding how things really work, how decisions get made, why change succeeds or stalls, and how to turn complex problems into practical change.
For most of that career, I didn't know I was neurodivergent.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in my fifties. It helped me understand more clearly why I thought and worked as I did, and how I had learned to navigate the demands of work and leadership in ways that weren't always obvious to me at the time.
That combination shapes the work I do now. I understand, from experience, how complex systems operate and change, the pressures of senior leadership and the realities of delivering results. I also understand what it means to think, work and lead differently within those same systems.
I wanted to understand the evidence as well as my own experience. I hold a PhD in Engineering and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King's College London, with a particular interest in neurodivergence and mental health at work.
Today, I bring those perspectives together.
I work with organisations to improve how neurodivergence is understood and supported at work, and with neurodivergent senior leaders to help them work and lead effectively.
A particular focus of my work is what changes when we look beyond individual adjustments and consider the systems in which people are expected to work.
My approach combines organisational reality, evidence and lived experience. It's about creating workplaces where people can work effectively with different ways of thinking, rather than expecting everyone to fit the same model.
